E39 BMW S62 V8 with DINAN S3 supercharger kit disassembled for timing chain replament and VANOS updates.
Midlands Motorworks offers services on vintage E39 BMW models including the 540i and M5, equipped with the S62 engine. Pictured in this gallery is the #9 Dinan S3 M5. Originally a 2000 M5, this vehicle was optioned by its original owner for the Dinan S3 package in 2005. The vehicle was brought to Midlands Motorworks in Columbia, SC where it underwent extensive mechanical restoration of the engine and supercharger components.
Partee Racing timing chain guides were used for the timing chain assembly replacement and VANOS update in the S62 engine
Dinan S3 Supercharger kit reassembled on the BMW E39 M5 after supercharger was rebuilt and serviced
Timing chain and vamos are reassembled, the valve cover gaskets were replaced along with the valve lifters. The front crankshaft seal and water pump were also replaced to make sure the cooling system is operating properly. A CSF all aluminum radiator was installed to replace the original and aid cooling system performance

Re-engineered and updated “pork chop” fender liner for E39 allowing air to pass over the fender well mounted intercooler system. Dinan’s old design sits underneath Midlands Motorworks re-design to illustrate the enlarged exhaust port.
